This Solder-it solder paste is sometimes called “plumbing solder paste” for good reason. It is made to work with copper, which is used with pipes in most plumbing systems. This copper soldering paste is also good with brass, stainless steel, nickel, and bronze. This means that this Solder-It paste can be used for a variety of tasks. Solder-It’s copper bearing solder paste contains NO lead, cadmium, or antimony. How to use soldering paste: Clean the joint area with a stainless-steel brush. Push the syringe plunger to apply paste along the base metal joint area. Place flame about two to three inches from the surface area and evenly heat the workpiece. Avoid applying the flame directly onto the solder paste until the flow temperature is reached. With the top of the flame at the joint area, direct the flow of paste along the length of the joint area. Allow the area to cool before washing flux residue off using warm soapy water and a stiff brush.
